Electric motors for PEUGEOT vehicles

PEUGEOT's electric drives provide zero-emission, fluid and silent driving, as well as high-quality road performance.

The new PEUGEOT 208 and the new PEUGEOT 2008 SUV are available as electric versions.

ELECTRIC MOTOR

Compact and responsive

The permanent-magnet electric motor offers a maximum output of 100 kW/110 hp and torque of 260 Nm for optimum driving pleasure.

 

The electric motor is supported by:

 

• An inverter: this transforms direct current into alternating current.

• A speed-reducer: this makes the rotation speed compatible with the usual speed range.

BATTERY 

High Performance Battery

The high-voltage lithium-ion battery (400 V) is the on-board electrical energy storage device. It is located under the floor, which preserves space on board and in the boot. The battery has a capacity of 50 kWh and a maximum power of 100 kW for a range of up to 340 km WLTP (i).

 

The thermal regulation achieved through circulating fluid and a heat pump allows for ultra-fast charging, optimised range and an increased lifespan.

 

For your peace of mind, the battery has an 8-year warranty or 160,000 km for 70% of its charge capacity.

 

Estimated values given as an indication only, and subject to pending confirmation by the WLTP. The range may vary according to the actual conditions of use (weather conditions, driving style, etc.).

Factors affecting the range of your electric vehicle


 
At 130km/h, the range of a 100% electric vehicle is divided by 2 compared to the WLTP approved range. 

The outside temperature, independently of the use of heating or air conditioning, directly affects the autonomy of your vehicle.

At 0 degrees, this is reduced by 10%.

 
A flexible and eco-responsible driving will allow you to optimize your autonomy. 

Heating and air conditioning can be responsible for 10 to 30% of your battery consumption.

On the other hand, the other comfort elements (radio, lights, wipers...) have very little impact.

 

On the way up, your consumption is increased and impacts your autonomy.

But on the way down, thanks to regenerative braking, you recover energy.

The charging flap is located on the left rear wing.

 

Charging is complete:

 

• In less than 16 hours on a socket with 3.7 kW, 16 A charger***

• In 5 hours with a 22 kW Wallbox and a 11 kW* charger.
